There are unlimited possibilities for the application of aluminium welding. Alumium welding is especially helpful in the building of engines. Despite a lot of hot air being let off on that subject, still almost everything is weldable ! Some things better some things worse. This is never a matter of who does it, but the material that is to be welded. If an engine case contains unfavourable alloys, even the most unusual additives may not help. In 95% of all cases we use AlSi5, but we also stock other alloys like AlSi12, AlMg3, AlMg5 and AlMg4.5Mn.

Welding is done in house with a WIG welder. So there are no long waiting periods. Small repairs are done within best time.

Handlebars (i.e. PX and Lambretta handlebar housings) are usually weldable very good, even if a "rotten apple" pops up here and there. Aluminium cylinders (i.e. attaching a new outlet socket for the Malossi PX 210) and some cylinder heads are extremely good weldable. Engine cases often pose a problem for welding, but most of the time it is controllable.

Big parts are preheated to 200°C and we leave old bearings in motor cases, to prevent warping. The old bearings are destroyed with this process and have to be replaced after that.

Generally we have to see a part, to be able to determine the price. But here are some examples:



Rebuild a fan blade on a Vespa PK flywheel by welding - 25 EURO

Add material on the clutch side on Vespa PX case to be able to mill a maximum size membrane intake - 40 EURO

Add a vacuum connector (8mm Aluminium tube), i.e. for a fuel pump - 20 EURO

Vespa Smallframe: add a parted intake over both case halves. EVERYTHING was prepared PERFECTLY for welding by the customer !! - 180 EURO

A fan blabe of the flywheel is broken off and is being reattached/rebuilt. The broken off piece is not needed for this operation:
