We have a Dynamometer installed at our shop from Alfons Amerschläger. The Dynamometer is equipped with the newest technology and software, like: soundproofed room, exhaust offtake, high performance cooling fan for liquid cooled engines, integrated brake and automatic starter (electrically driven drum).
The Atmosperic Sensing Module automatically measures absolute pressure, air temperature and relative humidity. The measured data automatically is generated into a climate correctional value. This value normalizes the measurements, so that the results are the same on days with low temperature, high humidity and high atmospheric pressure are the same as those on days with high temperature, low humidity and low atmospheric pressure. This makes the results independent from actual atmospheric conditions.
We can perform reliable and accurate carburetor jetting, Variomatic weight determination and Ignition timing setup on our Dynamometer. The effects of different engine and drive setups are shown by layering and comparing the different dyno curves. There is no more bogus power in loud exhaust pipes. ;-) Off course all dyno curves can be printed.
Dyno runs "hp/Nm per rpm" is also possible for automatic scooters. To perform this testing we install very heavy variomatic weights and a mechanical Variomatic stop. This causes the Variomatic to get fixed at very low rpm and enables a measurement of hp per rpm. So we can see at which rpm the Variomatic has to engage, to reach optimum performance and speed. Then we set the weights in the variomatic accordingly.
It is also possible to ESTIMATE the achievable top speed. No Dynamometer can measure the actual achievable top speed, since the aerodynamic resistance is not considered. If you gear a 5hp Mofa long enough you will be able to reach 150 kph. On the road you will never be able to get over the aerodynamic resistance at that speed. 15 hp (ducked behind the handlebar) is the minimum power that has to be present @ 160 kph to keep the speed.

We are able to assamble Vespa and Lambretta Motors into a testframe. So we can make a jetting of teh carb and flashing the ignition perfectly. We make several runs with several prints rpm to hp and km/h to hp. Its from 269 EURO for these service. Ask for shipping advice. We can manage, that a service pik up your motor - everywhere.
